William Brookes Sixth Form Letter
We are writing to you today about William Brookes Sixth Form. Following on from our Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening on Wednesday 11th November, we are writing to advise that our application window for entry into William Brookes Sixth Form in September 2021 is now open for Year 11 Students to make their application.
We would like to encourage students to complete their online application at their earliest convenience. (Please find the link below). We understand that this is an exciting time and that it can also be an anxious time for students as they start to think about the next stage of their education and their future. Our deadline to receive applications for entry in September 2021 is Friday 29th January, 2021.
William Brookes Sixth Form Application Form – September 2021 entry
All of our virtual Open Evening information is available on the William Brookes School website and if students have any unanswered questions or concerns, after looking at the resources and videos, we are always available to answer any questions that may arise. We have a specific Sixth Form email where students can send their questions. (email@example.com)
At William Brookes Sixth Form, we have a dedicated team of teachers who deliver engaging and stimulating provision across the curriculum, which consistently produces strong results, year on year. Our small class sizes ensure that our students receive high levels of support and feedback on their studies. Our teaching is further enhanced by a directed study programme which ensures that students are guided outside of lessons to engage in revision and retrieval activities, ensuring that knowledge gained in class is fully embedded in preparation for the final exams.
Sixth formers at William Brookes receive exceptional pastoral support, with bespoke guidance from personal tutors on post-16 study skills and post-18 pathways, based on student strengths, interests and ambitions. Students are supported in this process through the use of the Unifrog destinations platform, which helps students to compare opportunities and make successful applications. Further guidance and training is given to those students wishing to pursue competitive places at Oxbridge and for areas such as medicine and law.
Timetabled ‘rec and leisure’ activities on each Wednesday afternoon further ensure that sixth formers’ personal wellbeing outside of their academic studies is nurtured. Numerous opportunities for personal development are also on offer in order for students to build their all-important CVs, from academic mentoring to paid employment as lunch-time supervisors. Dedicated Sixth Form facilities, such as a café and sun balcony, alongside a common room and study base, mean that our Sixth Form students are catered for on every level.
I have added some ‘links’ for William Brookes Sixth Form in order that students/parents can see some more information about our Sixth Form.
Our new Sixth Form Prospectus is also available on the William Brookes School website giving full details about the courses on offer for September 2021.
